Q&A: San Diego real estate?

Question by jessica_poops: San Diego real estate?
Does anyone know any websites that have home listings online? The only ones I can find are the ones with the $ 1,000,000 houses.

This is an eastern real estate site, but this is the kind of site I am looking for (except in San Diego)

The average single family home in San Diego is over $ 600,000 unless it’s in a bad area. Here are a few links that may help you. You may want to check into north county or areas out in the east county. Oceanside, Vista, Fallbrook, Ramona

this is a link will give you great information on any neighborhood in the area.

The best website I’ve found for looking at real estate in all price ranges is http://www.realtor.com. It will even let you type in and search for house in the price range you want.
Be sure to search in towns in San Diego County such as La Mesa, Poway, Spring Valley, etc. separately.

    Good luck!

I always use realtor.com, then if you like certain houses, you can go to the actual realtor’s pages.

FYI…I looked at a 2 bedroom condo for $ 500,000. I don’t think you are going to find anything “affordable” in a good neighborhood in San Diego. However, the market is down right now so if you are really serious about buying in SD, now is the time.

    Good Luck!

    craigslist.com is good

    So is zillow.com

Don’t believe the home values they give you on zillow, though. Just use it to compare recent sale of comparable homes.
